Partners in Excellence Applications being accepted! 

    The Utility Arborist Association is the leading North American organization for the enhancement of quality utility arboriculture and right-of-way management. Our success relies on the support we receive from all of our members, sponsors and volunteers.

    Companies that go above and beyond to support our mission will be recognized annually. Membership, sponsorship, advertising, active committee volunteerism, and many other means have been quantified and assigned a value, all adding up to equal your PinE Score.

    Winners will be announced at the UAA Annual Meeting in Kansas City at the Trees & Utilities Conference.

    UAA Silver Shield Award 

    Nominations are now being accepted! 

    Our industry is driven by safety and it is our goal to recognize those individuals that perpetuate and inspire safety wherever they go.

    These front line safety champions may have official or unofficial roles within an organization. They influence and promote a safety culture at every turn. This elite champion receiving the UAA Silver Shield Award will hold this title for life.

    You know this all-star because he/she coaches and mentors new recruits and seasoned-tenured employees alike. Paramount is understanding the importance of safety and improving the system.

    It is with great gratitude and excitement to announce applications are now open! To fill out an application/nomination, please follow this link. All nominations will close on July 10th, 2017.

    Upon final selection process, interviewing final candidates and references may be required.

    Winners will be announced at the UAA Annual Meeting in Kansas City at the Trees & Utilities Conference. 


    UAA Awards 

    The Utility Arborist Association annually recognizes select individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of Utility Arboriculture. It is one small way that the organization can show appreciation to those individuals who have contributed to the advancement of the profession.

    These at large recognition's include:

    • Utility Arborist – Presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the field of Utility Arboriculture.
    • Education Award – Honors an individual who has added to the knowledge and practices of the Utility Arborist.
    • Lifetime Achievement – Recognizes the person who has reached many milestones during his/her career as a Utility Arborist.
    • Rising Star – Given to individuals who are relatively early in their career yet have already shown leadership of the organization and the industry.

    This year, the UAA would like to open up nominations for these awards to the general membership. If you know an individual who has made a significant contribution in one of these fields, please use the link provided to make your nomination. You can nominate candidates for any one of the four categories, or all four. Please include your reason for the nomination, as well as your contact information (in case your candidate is selected). Please note that the nomination is to be kept a surprise from the nominee.

    Recipients will be chosen by a select committee of UAA Past Presidents and Executive Committee members. Please keep the nomination a surprise as well!
